$7.5b Contracts Inked at Chongqing Fair

A global sourcing session held in Chongqing municipality resulted in $7.5 billion worth of orders placed by multinational corporations, said Li Jianchun, director of the city's economic and trade commission. The 156 participants, including 45 among the world's largest 500 companies, procured products in the machinery, automobile, software outsourcing, public works, biochemicals, fast moving consumer goods, and agriculture sectors. Sellers at the expo are Chinese manufacturers from across the mainland and all buyers were foreigners.
