Nearly 79% of those employed by lucrative browser game developers or operators want to start their own business, a survey by human resource service provider Zhaopin.com has revealed. The practitioners receive salaries, where general-, supervisor- and manager-level staff are paid ¥60,000 ($1 = ¥6.8), ¥100,000 and ¥300,000 annually, much higher than the Internet industry's average, said Zhaopin. China's online gaming sector, which was worth ¥27 billion last year, suffers a shortage of 600,000 professionals, and 50% of the companies have trouble hiring talents they desire.
