Arcelik buys Chinese washing machine maker

Arcelik, Turkey’s largest manufacturer of white goods and the third largest in Europe, has completed a purchase of Chinese washing-machine maker Changzhou Casa Shinco Appliances, the Jinghua Times reported. Under the US$7.99 million (RMB60 million) deal, the Chinese company’s name will change to Beko Electrical Appliances Co. No further details were given.
