China M&A Wrap for the Week of 27 July 2010

July 27 – Texas Instruments has agreed to purchase Chengdu Chengxin Semiconductors for ¥1.2 billion ($1 = ¥6.8), according to a Chengxin insider.

July 26 – Perfect World Co (NASDAQ: PWRD), a Beijing-based online game operator, said it will purchase Beijing Xinbaoyuan Movie & TV Investment Co for ¥110 million and purchase Shanghai Hongbao Movie & TV Media Co for ¥82.3 million.

July 22 – Beijing Montagne Medical Device Co, a leading artificial joints maker, said Zimmer, the world's largest joints maker, has taken it over for $49 million. The two sides have yet to announce more details. Zimmer's global revenues are worth $4 billion.

July 22 – Sdo.com, a virtual and digital publisher owned by Shanda Interactive Entertainment (NASDAQ: SNDA), will take over PHPCMS from Ku6.com. PHPCMS, an Internet content management system solutions provider, was acquired by Ku6 in May 2008.
