July 2 – New home prices in China's 10 regional centers averaged ¥15,429/m2 in June, up 0.8% from May, according to Soufun Holdings Ltd (Nasdaq: SFUN), a leading Chinese real estate service providers. The average new home price for the nation's 100 largest cities was ¥8,688/m2 last month, up 0.1% from a month earlier.

July 2 – Proceeds from land auctions in China's 300 largest cities dropped 38% year on year to ¥652.6 billion in 1H 2012, according to Soufun Holdings Ltd. Shanghai saw its revenue from land auctions slump 60% from 1H 2011 to just ¥18.42 billion. Beijing pulled in just ¥14.49 billion, down 55.7% during the same period.
