E-House China Holdings Ltd (NYSE: EJ) has acquired two domain names, Fangchan.com and Dichan.com, both meaning real estate in Chinese. The move is perceived by market watchers to start new business on top of its partnership with Sina.com.cn (NASDAQ: SINA), one of the major Chinese portals. E-House China reached an agreement in July to merge its property consultancy division with Sina's online real estate section. CRIC, the joint venture, is tipped to be listed on the NASDAQ in October. E-House China was recently ranked first among Chinese real estate services providers with a ¥2 billion brand value, according to a report coauthored by the Development Research Center of the State Council, Tsinghua University and the China Index Institute.
