August 23 - Bank of America Corp (NYSE: BAC) will keep at least half its present 10% stake in China Construction Bank Corp (SHA: 601939, HKG: 0939), the nation's largest mortgage lender, CCB president Zhang Jianguo said.

August 22 – German chemical maker Henkel AG & Co said it plans to invest $71.84 million in Shanghai building a factory that is expected to produce 428,000 tons of adhesive a year when operational.

August 19 – The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) said it plans to invest a total of $4 billion in China in the three years starting 2012.

August 17 – Abbott Laboratories (NYSE: ABT) said it plans to invest $230 million building a factory in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province. The factory is expected to produce high-end infant nutrition products and become operational by 2013. Abbott currently operates three factories in China.
