Xiangfan Guowang Composite Insulators, Asia's largest synthetic insulator manufacturer, exported RMB65 million (US$9.52 million) worth of products in the first ten months of the year, the Xiangfan Daily reported. The Hubei province-based company has been receiving increasing orders from 26 countries, including the UK, the Netherlands, Chile, Iran and Oman, despite the global financial crisis. It was Asia's first synthetic insulator assembly line capable of producing one million units annually. The company has not been involved in any faulty product scandals over the past two decades, the newspaper reported, and it has passed the Netherland's KEMA and Italy's CESI accreditations to enter the EU market.
