Le Meridien plans China expansion

Le Meridien, one of nine brands under Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, announced Wednesday it will open its third Chinese hotel in Hainan province next year, the Economic Daily reported. Le Meridien is going to open another 10 hotels in China, which are expected to contribute 10% of its global revenue when all start operating.It currently runs two hotels in Shanghai. It plans to further expand across the Asia-Pacific rim, particularly in China and Thailand.
