Market Analysts think that the mobile TV market is going to expand rapidly in Mainland China. U.S. market research agency Gartner Group estimates that by 2009, at least 10% mobile phone users would purchase mobile multimedia and mobile TV services. Therefore, this interests mobile phone operators and digital multimedia providers to establish pioneer positions in the market. However, analysts also point out the lack of commercial operation model increase obstacle to the market’s profitability. The Telecom sector has to figure out a commercial plan other than solely relying on advertisement to generate revenue.
