Fuzhou is the capital and an important port city in Fujian province on the southeast coast of China. With a population of 7.1 million, the city's GDP grew 14.2% to ¥312 billion ($49.5 billion) in 2010. Fuzhou is a provincial magnet for foreign investments and production base of chemicals, timber, textiles, paper and packaged snacks. It is also a tourist city with a number of historical and cultural sites.
