Yinchuan is the capital and largest city in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northwestern China. With a population of almost two million, the city's GDP grew 14.8% to ¥76 billion ($12.1 billion) in 2010. Yinchuan is a major producer of plateau plants such as wolfberry, or gouqi, and has a thriving tourism sector featuring ancient tombs and mosques.
